Managing My Time - THRIVE Tip #5
My final step and tip for THRIVING is a daily schedule. I can’t stress how helpful a well thought out schedule is. I don’t know if you’re like me at all, but if I don’t write it down, it doesn’t happen. Prime example: Valentine’s Day. I had every intention of making a really cool, craft photo collage as a part of my gift for my boyfriend. Then on February 13, as I was packing for a camping trip, I remembered that I hadn’t ordered pictures and I didn’t know how I was going to make the collage. Thank goodness for Costco Photo Center’s quick printing turn around and a trip to Hobby Lobby to get a bulletin board. Then because I had to stop my packing for camping, I didn’t finish packing and prepping food until 45 minutes AFTER we were supposed to be heading down the road. Now, had I actually written all of this down and set aside time for it - it would have been way smoother. Luckily my boyfriend is kind and grace-filled. How about you? Are you someone who needs to write down and schedule the important stuff in life?
I have included a download link to the schedule that I use for you to take a look at and use yourself!
Here are a few reasons why I love this format. It gives me a place to write down my focus for the day and I am always looking back at it as I glance at my schedule. There is a place for words of inspiration to motivate and encourage me. Also, there’s a place to write what I’m grateful for and reflect on what well in the day. Also, a key piece to thriving is to be prepared. At the end of each day it is so helpful to look ahead to the next day and what are my top priorities.
I have learned, when I am prepared and have planned, I achieve more in each day. When I achieve, when I reflect on what’s good, and I'm inspired…I THRIVE!
Look Up, Ladies!
